ThermiGyn proudly presented ThermiVa, an in-office, non-surgical treatment for OB-GYNs (vaginal laxity) at this year’s Society of Gynecologic Surgeons (SGS) Annual Meeting at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando.
Using the same technology that has been used for years to reduce the effects of aging, ThermiVa is a unique temperature controlled radiofrequency treatment using the science of heat for medical and aesthetic applications. Currently being studied for improvement in the sensation of caused by childbirth or aging, approximately 55 patients have been treated using the ThermiGyn temperature controlled radio frequency technology to date. Early results show that nearly all participants experienced a noticeable improvement after one treatment. Secondarily, researchers have noted that in many cases, there was also improvement in urinary incontinence vaginal atrophy and dysorgasmia.
“This underreported condition affects millions of women, and often impacts their relationships” explains Jackie Gonzalez, Chair of ThermiGyn’s Womens Health Business Advisory Board. “We are excited to be launching a technology that effectively addresses this sensitive issue using a comfortable treatment, without the need for surgery. We encourage interested physicians to learn more about ThermiVa from their colleagues at our Clinical Advisory Council meetings, held across the country.”
Attendees of the annual meeting had the opportunity to learn about the ThermiVa treatment, which delivers controlled thermal energy to the desired areas with no anesthetics required.
